Trim the bottoms off of the asparagus and place on a lined sheet pan
Drizzle with olive oil and season lightly with salt and pepper all over, using your hands to coat all of the asparagus evenly.
Place sheet pan in oven for 10-12 minutes, or until tender.
While roasting zest half of the lemon
Lastly once asparagus is removed from the oven, add lemon zest and squeeze the lemon juice over the asparagus, tossing with tongs to get fully coated and enjoy!
Optional: Top with grated parmesan cheese to add even more flavor.
